Joseph M. Foto was born and raised in Southern Louisiana. He received his bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University, where he majored in Criminal Justice. Joseph graduated from the Louisiana State University Law Center with a Juris Doctorate and a Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law. While pursuing his J.D., Joseph clerked for the Honorable William J. Crain, then-member of the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal and current Louisiana Supreme Court Justice.

Following law school, Joseph worked as an Assistant District Attorney at Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, gaining trial experience prosecuting felony and misdemeanor cases. He later worked as an attorney at the law firm of Garrison, Yount, Forte, & Mulcahy, practicing insurance defense and personal injury.

In addition to practicing law, Joseph was a criminal investigator with Homeland Security Investigations, graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center’s Criminal Investigator Training Program, and proudly served in the United States Coast Guard as a Maritime Enforcement Specialist.

Today, Joseph uses his experience and training to represent clients in various legal matters focusing on family law, personal injury, and general civil litigation.
